About these terms

These terms apply to your use of shipmender.com and the ShipMender scanning service, provided by [Jason Issac], a sole trader in the United Kingdom trading as ShipMender ("we", "us"). Contact: hello@shipmender.com.

The service

ShipMender runs automated checks on a public GitHub repository or a live website you submit and produces a report of potential security and quality issues. The free teaser shows a summary. The full report costs £29 (one-off, including any applicable VAT) and includes all findings, fix prompts and one re-scan of the same target.

Only scan what you're allowed to

You must own the repository or website you submit, or have permission from its owner to have it tested. Scanning targets without permission may be unlawful, including under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. We may refuse, limit or stop scans, and block users, where we suspect misuse.

Limits of the service

ShipMender is an automated tool. It checks for common issues and will not find every vulnerability; it may also report false positives. A report is not a security audit, penetration test, certification or guarantee that your app is secure. You are responsible for deciding what changes to make and for testing them. Fix prompts are suggestions for your AI tool; review the changes they produce.

Payment and refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe. Because the full report is digital content supplied immediately, you agree when buying that it is delivered straight away and that you lose your 14-day right to cancel once delivery starts, as permitted by the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If a report fails to generate or is materially faulty, contact us and we'll re-run it or refund you. This doesn't affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Acceptable use

Don't attempt to disrupt the service, bypass rate limits, submit malicious content, or use the service or its reports to attack systems.

Intellectual property

You keep all rights in your code. You may use your report however you like. The site, branding and scanning software remain ours.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that can't be limited by law. Otherwise, we're not liable for losses that weren't foreseeable, for business losses (such as lost profit, revenue or data), or for losses arising from security issues our scan didn't detect. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the relevant report.

Changes and ending use

We may update the service or these terms; the version on this page applies. You can stop using the service at any time.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you're a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring claims in your local courts.
